Thank you for your welcome!
I come from a family that was/ is always walking with big backpacks or biking. Never booked a hotel; just put a tent in the country side. We never liked lazy vacations. When i was a teenager we went on xe dap to Hungary, England, Germany, Belgium and did many tours in Ha Lan of course.
Even now my father (from 1946) is still packing his ride and exploring the world.
I like riding in the VN country side. My wife's family lives in a small village in Dong Anh and going there in the weekends is really nice. I live in Ton Duc Thang and overall it will take me about 50 to 60 phut to go to my parents in Dong Anh. An average of 25 km/ hour i think.
Traffic can be difficult in Hanoi, but I am used to a lot after all these months in VN and Cambodia. But bay gio toi can di ngu. Some day soon I will try and write about my experience on xe dap in Hanoi so far.
For now; I think it is funny that on my xe dap I go faster than most xe may!
