I agree with Mr Long and I believe that it's possible to make it as I have done quite a few biking trips in Vietnam. Due to busy traffic, we, cyclists ride on secondary roads along coastline or via new Ho Chi Minh trail. In case of busy traffic on Highway (Highway 1-not recommended to ride on certain sections of this Highway) cyclists should be transferred to quite road by van or bus. It's depending on number of cyclists in the party, you might need to have a small truck for bikes and a van for cyclists. So, these vehicles will act as back and front marker and drivers will help you do domestic- supplying water, preparing snacks..........! Be sure that every one is in between the vehicles of all time and to regroup in every 15-30 km(depending on terrain) for refreshment, snacks !
